Interview
with Hunter- 1997
Author Unknown
How long have you been into punk
and hardcore?
Hunter: Around 8th grade I started
playing in bands, and I have been in a lot of bands in Grass Valley
for a number of years now. Probably around my sophmore year in High
School, which would be '92.
Did you have a favorite band or
see other bands playing hardcore or punk?
Hunter: There are a lot of bands
around from this area. I mean I was always into the scene and wanted
to do my part.
How long have you played Bass?
Hunter: I have been playing for
5 years. I taught myself how to play when I was in high school.
How long have The Force been around
for?
Hunter: We have been around for
3 years.
Do you have any 7 inches or albums
out?
Hunter: We have a 7 inch called
"Fetish", and we recorded 12 songs for a 10 inch which will be out
this summer.
How long have you known the guys
in AFI?
Hunter: A couple of years. I was
first introduced to them in October of '95 at a show in Berkeley.
Are you excited about the upcoming
tour with AFI and with a big band like the Offspring?
Hunter: Yeah, it's going to be
like nothing I ever experienced before.
Is it kinda hard trying to learn
all of AFI songs, when you will only be able to practice for 1 week?
Hunter: They let me know 2 month's
in advance, when Geoff told them he was quitting. I have had a lot
of time to pracitce, and I feel that I know it. I am going to try
to make it as naturally as possible for these 20 to 30 shows. We
had some practices and they really went well, so I feel that I am
ready.
After your done with AFI, what
will the Force be up to?
Hunter: We have a West Coast tour
planned, and hopefully more touring when the new 10 inch comes out.
Thanks to Hunter for this interview,
check him in action with AFI, they start touring May 2!!!
